Have you wanted to try quilting, but don’t know where to start?
This class will walk you through all the steps of making a patchwork square baby quilt or lap quilt from start to finish. Over the course of 4 sessions you’ll learn how to cut your blocks, piece together your quilt top, baste together your “quilt sandwich”, and finish it all together with stitching and binding. This class will introduce both hand quilting and machine quilting techniques.
Once you learn these basic skills, you'll be ready to create quilts of all shapes and sizes!
Mary Willems has been sewing for 20 years and fell in love with quilting 5 years ago. She works at Generator MakerSpace and has a small business, HandShaped Style, making quilted oven mitts.
Limited to 6 participants. Requires 3 participants to run. In the event of cancellation due to low enrollment, registered participants will receive notice and a refund 3 days prior to the scheduled start date of the series.
Notion operates on Western Abenaki land.
